The diploma thesis focuses on optimization of collection service distribution routes in specific company in Moravia region. Failure to evaluate the effects of transportation organization can lead to inefficient planning of routes, which can in turn lead to time or financial losses. Professional approach to distribution route planning leads to a smooth operation of the collection service and to a successful compliance with the evaluation criteria. At first, the diploma thesis will analyse and evaluate the current condition using the evaluation criteria and then it will attempt to propose new solution to improve the current state of affairs.

Maritime container transport between China and Europe related to the company DB Schenker.

The goal of this diploma thesis is to define the maritime container transport and some of the important aspects, which are closely related to it. The next goal is to describe the single steps of the maritime container transport (LCL) from port in Hong Kong, to compare import of LCL consignment from port in Hong Kong or port in Nansha and to decide which of these option is better for the customer in Czech republic, speaking of time and cost view. This goal is shown on the specific business case in DB Schenker company.
Groupage service in international business

The aim of this thesis is the analysis of dispatch services and groupage services, which provide transportation of unit shipments. In today's global world, transportation of goods is still very important and its importance rise because of rising of international business, therefore, it is important to mention national and international legal conditions of providing groupage services. Further I am describing types of transportation, by which can be groupage service provided, and also the analysis of the groupage service process. No less important is also market research of international groupage service and companies, which provide this service.
Groupage service in maritime transportation and export from Czech Republic

The topic of this thesis is groupage service in maritime transportation and its use for export out of Czech Republic. In the theoretical and methodological part I am defining the main terms in maritime transportation and maritime transportation in general. In the thesis I am describing the role of maritime transportation in the Czech Republic emphasized by statistics. Further I am writing about containerization and main container types because those are very important for the groupage service. In the practical part I am describing the processes of exports groupage service (LCL) within company Austromar spol. s r.o. on which I am applying business cases to to show how those processes work in reality. One of the business cases is transportation of hazardous material. In the last part of thesis I am comparing the direct and non-direct container with example of the freight charges calculation.
An analysis of a transport operator´s job description

An analysis of a transport operator´s job description My degree work is centred on the problems of a transport operator´s job in a forwarding agency. The introduction provides an explanation of a term of "dispatch service" and explains why logistics is so important in transport. Then there is a description of the transport development after 1990 and the changes transport had to undergo in the time of globalization. The main part of the work deals with the operator´s working procedure from an offer to a demand, an order and other actions to the final realization. A model example is given to represent an actual transporting process. The work also states conditions under which transport is executed, for example payment terms and terms of delivery. Next chapters outline the way of calculation, give a detailed description of collecting service (which is implemented within the bounds of CS Expres system) and of storing problems including the introduction of bar codes in stores and possibilities of logistic service extension. The conclusion is focused on the firm developing strategy.

The goal of this work is to give a comprehensive overview about the collective service in road transportation, where the collection service is used very often, and to summarize the most important theoretical information together with practical experience.
Optimisation of the collection service process in the context of DHL

The goal of this master thesis is to optimise the collection service process of the company DHL Global Forwarding (CZ) s.r.o. and to identify the best collection service provider. The optimisation process will be based primarily on price comparison but also other criteria will be included. To achieve the goal, the content of the work was divided into four parts. In the first chapter, the term of collection service is defined as well as briefly described, including the legal context of collection services. Second chapter provides general information about the collection service market and the collection services currently provided by DHL Express. It also contains a case study -- DHL Global Forwarding -- which describes the role of collection services within the seafreight transportation of this company. Third chapter is the analyses part that provides information about a standard consignment, requirements for the analyses, selection of companies, comparison of their prices and finally comparison of transport conditions and extra services provided by the least expensive companies. The last chapter of this master thesis tries to find solutions to revealed problems and make overall suggestions for DHL Global Forwarding (CZ) s.r.o. as well as DHL Express and BOHEMIA CARGO.

Práce se zabývá logistikou a distribucí zboží internetových obchodů na počátku 21. století v českém prostředí s přihlédnutím ke světové praxi. Cílem práce je posouzení přínosu přímých dodávek ze skladů dodavatelů konečným zákazníkům s vyloučením distribuce přes centrální distribuční centrum. Aplikační část je věnována společnosti Internet Mall, a.s., pro kterou jsou přínosy přímých dodávek posuzovány.
